Adrian Burden, originally from Morehead City, NC, was saved at Grace Baptist Church and educated at their Christian school. At 16, he felt called to preach while at The Wilds Christian Camp. He pursued this call by attending Pensacola Christian College, earning his undergraduate degree in 2006 and a Master’s in Biblical Exposition in 2008. During that time, he worked as a chaplain at a juvenile detention center and assisted with a church planting ministry in Mobile, AL.
After graduation, Adrian began with $36 and depended on prayer and referrals for ministry opportunities. His work expanded to domestic and international camps, VBS, youth events, and more. In 2015, God placed it on the family’s hearts to learn Spanish. Adrian, Tabitha, and their daughters have been blessed to impact the Spanish-speaking community both at home and overseas. They spent 9 months of the year in the U.S. and 3 months in Central America doing ministry, whether helping at a feeding center in Honduras or preaching at a pastor’s conference in Nicaragua the opportunities abounded.
At the beginning of 2023, Adrian made a change in the pace and structure of his ministry. With a strong desire not to be an “MIA Preacher Dad,” he decided to formally close Burden Ministries and focus on having Gospel impact in one centralized geographical location. God has opened doors for nonprofit work, where Adrian now uses his gifts to further the Kingdom.
