Recent Preaching Trips

Montgomery AL-

Thank the Lord for his blessings and traveling mercies as we went to Montgomery this past mid-April. There were 3 young people who accepted the Lord as their Savior. There were other decisions of commitment issues made as well with the other young people. It was an exciting rally with the wonderful people of Fannin Road Baptist Church.

Prattville, AL-

Later from Montgomery we headed to Prattville. There was a big storm that made the plans for the Saturday youth rally to be cancelled. Thank the Lord though I was able to speak to the teenagers in their Sunday School class the next day, and as well as to the adults in the Sunday morning service. It was very encouraging to hear from a parent that their son was saved the last time I was there for revival and to hear that he was still doing right and on the right path. It was great being with the people of Open Door Baptist Church.

Rocky Mount, NC

We had the privilege to have our little 5year old niece for a couple days between the Prattville and Rocky Mount trip. It was a learning and good experience as we were preparing for our next set of meetings. We preached at Faith Christian School at their Jr/Sr Banquet. It was interesting to see the many young people and the 250 or so that gathered for the occasion. It was a neat speaking opportunity and I believe the Lord taught us more through that experience than what I could have shared in my message.

New Bern, NC

Now we are home for a little while. It is great for us to have some time to regroup and prepare for an extremely hectic summer. Many plans need to be made and even though we are both home. Please pray for us because we still remain busy working and serving in our local church. God has blessed me to work with a contractor during the times that I am home and my wife works in the office at church part time. And in the ministry I preach to the teenagers when I am home and work with many of the young people who come on our buses each Sunday. Needless to say, our responsibilities do not stop when we arrive home, but we love staying busy for the Lord.

Keep us in your prayers!!

FANNIN ROAD YOUTH REVIVAL

Well its been quite the weekend.  The Lord blessed with 3 young people getting saved and many other decisions made for Christ. After preaching in the Sunday morning service and in preparation for the evening service a five year old boy came and told me, "Wow, you preached on everything" it  was encouraging that the youngest to the oldest were listening intently to the messages.

The people of the church have a heart for the inner city of Montgomery and it is very apparent by how their visitation efforts are carried out. This is a church we would go back to preach in a heartbeat. God gave the increase and wow it was incredible to be a part!! Keep us in your prayers as we are in Cantonment, FL once again before heading back to Prattville, AL.

Amazing Grace Baptist Church

Thank the Lord for another great revival in Jacksonville, NC with my very own cousin, Pastor John Burton. He is much older than I am and was very much an encouragement concerning my young age in the ministry, Me and my friend Jonathan Walton were both speaking in the services. Between him, my wife and I and my wife's sister Deborah, we had the opportunity to do all the special music and preaching for the Sunday to Wednesday meeting. Needless to say the days were filled with much fun and conversations from times pasts and with stories about me as a child.

The meeting went terrific and it was such a blessing to see many family members who  came out of curiosity to hear and were helped by the services. It was great to leave the church and know we were not just leaving a church but we were leaving friends, and that truly is a difference.

Keep us in prayer as we are off to another church in our general area of NC for Sunday Services. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Bellingrath Road Baptist Trip

Thank the Lord for a wonderful revival conference in Theodore, AL. The wonderful people of the church killed us with love as we entered into the doors. Praise the Lord for one teenage girl saved on Saturday while me and the pastor were out on visitation, and also thank the Lord for the many many decisions made throughout the weekend. One of the services especially God met with us and the pastor wasn't quite sure how to close the service. Thank the Lord for the weekend because the people prayed and God brought about the increase.

Thank you to all of those who prayed for our safety we have definitely putting the miles on the Honda and God has kept her running up and down these interstates for His glory. We are getting ready for another revival on Easter Sunday in Jacksonville, NC so keep us in your prayers still please!!

SUMMER PREPARATION

This week has been going by so fast. The summer is getting here closer every day. The summer is our busiest time and much work goes into it. We are preparing in every way during these days we are getting ready for a weekend Revival conference.  Please keep us in your prayers as many miles are being driven and as my car begins to show a little bit of its age the last couple of days.

FILAM Baptist Visit

Thank the Lord for the opportunity to share the work of Burden Ministries with the great people of FILAM Baptist Church. We have been traveling a great deal in recent weeks so it has been good to be here in the Pensacola area visiting friends and family. We are going to be in the area for another week or so for the revival conference coming up this Friday in Theodore, AL. Please keep us in your prayers.

Camp 'O the Pines and Stockbridge, GA

Here we are all the way in Cantonment, Fl having had a very busy 4 days. For the past four days we have slept in four different beds in 3 states. The Lord blessed with the meeting in Pine Grove Baptist Church. The wonderful people there and Decatur Baptist Church threw us a wedding reception at the church after services. The blessings did not stop there. We continued to Pensacola for the Campus Church's youth group senior high retreat. The Lord blessed with many decisions made for Christ. About 40 young people prayed to tell the Lord that they would be willing to do whatever the Lord had for their lives. The testimony time was a blessing from heaven as many young people confessed things and described different things they were going to change in their lives. God has been good and we're looking forward to what He has in store next.

Back to Preaching

Thank the Lord that the recovery process has been very good!! Thank you for your prayers! I have been at my home church working away with the young people and with the bus ministry before we get ready to head out to GA next week.

To test whether or not I was ready for the road the Lord gave me five opportunities to preach in 2 days therefore I have been pretty busy preparing and preaching. It has been terrific to get back to doing what God has called me to do.

Keep us in prayer still as we move forward in the ministry and get ready for a busy summer that awaits us.

RECOVERY!!

I cant say thank you enough for all of your prayers over the past days!! Thank the Lord the gallbladder is out and now its time to recover. I already am trying to do things that I do not have the energy for BUT I find out very quickly to go somewhere and sit down. Please continue to pray for the soreness and the stitches that are still there. Im making plans to still try to preach this Friday and Sunday, so Lord willing I will have the energy to do so!! Thank you so much for your support!!

Camp CoBeAc and Trinity Baptist Youth Group

Its been a COOOOOLD weekend but it has been a very blessed weekend!! God gave us the opportunity to preach to the young people of Trinity Baptist Church of MI at Camp CoBeAc. God blessed in an amazing way by allowing us to see one teenager come to Christ and about a dozen dedicating their lives to the Lord for whatever He would have them to do. Pastor Baird and the other sponsors did an amazing job in putting all the activities together.

We were thrilled to be at the camp and to get to the staff. We were very impressed with the facility and the vision of this camp in MI. We very much hope to be back soon, because it is a unique place that just needs to be witnessed.

We are now traveling through the snowy north to get to our home in NC. Please pray as my surgery is this coming Friday. God has provided in various ways, and we are looking forward to how He will continue to do so in the future. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to serve Him.

Conclusion of PA and Beginning of MI

Thank the Lord for His blessings during the revival in Waynesboro, PA. The time we spent with Pastor Busik and the wonderful people at Antrim Faith Baptist was truly a blessing. They were more of a blessing to us then probably we were to them. We did spend some extra time there because of the weather. It was ALOT of snow and we were stuck for an extra two days, but no worries because the Lord allowed us to preach there for a little longer time there in PA on Sunday.

Presently we are in MI visiting my wife's grandfather who is in the hospital from a back surgery. At the end of the weekend we will be heading for Prudenville, MI for Camp COEBEAC. We're getting our winter gear ready for even more cold and of course more snow.

**Please pray as we enter this next week because at the end of the week I will be going in for surgery. Please pray for the surgical procedure as well as the finances for the surgery. I do not want to postpone it due to expenses but we are praying the Lord will provide. God has put us together and taken care of us in various methods and we just want His will to be done in and through us.

Thank you prayer and financial supporters God bless you ALL!!

Wayneboro, PA Revival

Praise the Lord we are in snowy PA getting ready for our first meeting as a married couple. The Lord blessed us with a good trip up and now we are at the Antrim Faith Baptist Church with the hospitable Pastor Busik and his family.  The church is excited and ready for the Lord to do a special work which by God's grace we pray He will.

Keep us in your prayers for the meetings as well as my surgery which is scheduled on February 19 and pray for the expenses also that are incurred with the surgery. The Lord has definitely been faithful and we are still in awe over His goodness shown to us in these past days. May the Lord bless you!

To say I have been busy during the month of December and into January would be the understatement of all time!! I hope many were able to view the wedding via live stream here on the website. God blessed us with an amazing honeymoon and now we have just officially moved into our new home. Lord-willing pictures will be soon available.

Even though the wedding and all the excitement lingers on so does the work of the ministry. We will be heading to PA for a revival meeting on January 31 as our travels begin now that we are married. My wife has been an absolute blessing during our 3 weeks of marriage and I cannot not wait to further see what the Lord will do in and through her as the days progress.

A major prayer request lies with my health. The surgeon has just let me know that I will be needing to have my gallbladder removed. Now obviously meetings and conferences need not to be canceled therefore I ask your prayers for the timing of the surgery and a speedy recovery

Well there are many other things that are on our plate and we understand that the Devil is fighting our marriage and the ministry harder than ever, so please keep us in your prayers

much love

Columbus, GA

All I can say is Praise the Lord!!! Last night Pastor Jeff Amsbaugh of Grace Baptist Church hosted a youth rally at a theatre called the Hollywood Connection in Columbus, GA. There were 460 teens registered and many others who were just there. The Lord blessed during the inviation when I preached from the simple text of John 3:16. Over 40 were saved and God did such a work. Much follow-up is needed and is being pursued already!! Please pray as the next stop is Elisabeth City, NC.
